After a mysterious cat gives Rey and Guinevere a weapon that may or may not be cursed, they are intent on locating a professional to properly identify the weapon before they risk using it.

 

Fortunately, a young mage with an encyclopedic knowledge of curses, game mechanics, and cat girls offers to lend them a hand in exchange for their help freeing him. He's trapped in a questionable institution charged with educating the youth of Eiratha in the magical arts... whether they want to or not.

 

Now, they just have to decide if adding a promising mage to their party is worth delving into the demons hiding in the school, including the one with unpleasant memories from Rey's past.

 

Lunar Insurrection is an experimental LitRPG/GameLit series, combining elements of fantasy and Dungeons and Dragons with a twist on the Isekai genre. Each novella-length installment builds on the larger story and world, but can also be enjoyed as individual tales out of order.
