Requirements
Reviews are an incredibly important piece of the work that goes into making a book successful. They help readers like you decide if the book will be to their taste (or not, and that’s equally important) and if they should take the time out of their busy day to read it.
Unfortunately, only about 5% or less of regular readers choose to leave reviews of the books they read, even the ones they enjoy! And at the same time, a lot of readers won’t look twice at books that have none or very few reviews, especially for authors they’ve never heard of before. In other words, reviews are oftentimes scarce, and yet they are also coveted.
By joining our review program, you can make a difference to a book’s success and the careers of our authors. You’ll help other readers navigate the landscape of other books out there and help them find the right ones for their reading preferences!
Plus, you get free books, so it’s a win-win.
Anyone can join our review program. You don’t need a huge following or to post your reviews all over social media (unless you want to, and that’s awesome).
However, please keep in mind:
While we will never require you to leave a review for a book you receive, we cannot continue to give books to those with a less than 50% review rate.
Think of it as borrowing from a library! You can borrow up to 2 books at first, but you don’t have to return them. We expect you to leave a review for at least 1 before giving you your 3rd. If you’ve received 10 books, we at hope for least 5 reviews, and so on. We must maintain this policy to be fair to our authors.
